Time is running. Already May, half of the season is done and only 2 months left till Olympics. Time is also running fast because spring has been a lot of fun and everything was going pretty smooth for me and the team. We started well in Qatar with stage win and GC podiums and from there on it kind of just kept going. We won every WWT race apart from Flèche Wallonne, which was an outstanding performance from the team. I was happy that I could add my little piece of work to everyone of these races. As for my personal account it was also a really good spring. With one win in Dwaars Door de Westhoek and several podiums it was more then satisfying. Especially the last podium in Luxemburg was quiet emotional in front of my homecrowd and at the end of a long day in the break. I do hope that the rest of the year will be as successful. Right now I am focused on preparing myself for Rio. Selection is safe now I want to make sure that I do improve myself a bit in the climbing part because that is what it is going to be about in Rio. Unfortunately it is not in my nature to climb long but the challenge is to improve and having no regrets after Rio despite the result. Who knows maybe I will have a good surprise. Main races left till Rio will be Tour of Britain and probably Giro Rosa.
